The main objective of the project is the creation of a network on the Euregio Meuse-Rhine between the sectors of production and training in viticulture in order to create a local sector with ecological and sustainable means of production and consumption. The Euregio has a long history with wine, so its production is a logical step.

This cooperation project is supported by the EU-funded INTERREG V-a programme of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.

Learn more about the EMR WINE platform

To achieve this goal, we are bringing together the various stakeholders in the wine sector to create a new educational development programme for wine and agricultural training (with a cross-over to leisure and retail) in the project’s partner regions, to stimulate the exchange of practical knowledge between students, educators and professionals within the Euregio through cross-border exchanges and thus to generate integrated education and training pathways in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.

The project will pool the resources and expertise of the Euregio Meuse-Rhine in order to analyse the development of the different regions of Europe in the light of the climate changes they have undergone (both positive and negative). This analysis will contribute to the development of a strong Euregional policy for the consolidation and growth of a developing wine sector in the EMR region. Therefore, promoting the meeting of students, educators and professionals in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine will contribute to strengthen the impact of this green deal due to its territorial proximity, common problems related to greening and similar climate changes.
