Located in the heart of the Hesbaye region, not far from Sint-Truiden, the Gloire de Duras wine estate is a real family project that Peter Nijskens runs with his wife Hilde and three children (Laura, Gert-Jan and Isaline). In 2015, he decided to start a winegrowing business, in addition to his job as a fruitgrower. Partly out of passion, partly out of realism, given the current state of the fruit industry. The name refers to the medieval lordship of Duras and the village of Wilderen where the vineyard is located.
